Pros

Brand name Opportunity to learn new things

Cons

Everything about the company is a con. No work life balance, fake promises at the time of interview, no job security. Contract people are treated like slaves - no respect, no say in any of the matters, no rights. Worst politics I have ever seen. Even senior managers & Managing directors are fired on the spot for no reason. Women employees are denied right for maternity leave which is total acceptable. A friend of mine have been working with Valeo for 19 months now. Today she informed her manager that she is pregnant and will eventually need maternity leave after 5 - 6 months. She was asked to resign because "they can not afford employees taking leaves". If you have dignity left, do not join this organisation.

Valeo Response

This comment doesn't reflect reality as Valeo Pune Site's attrition (employee turnover) is lower than the market and is reaching 0% in the HR department! The Group policy against discrimination is strong and clear and there are no denials for any benefits related to women going on maternity leave. There are no reported case such as the one being described here.

Valeo - Tuam

Pros

Acceptable salaries. Very good non-technical part of the company (HR, training, people after work, etc.).

Cons

A lot of politics. Uneducated managers, wrong decisions based on reputation of pusher of "idea" rather than on facts. Everyone knows how it should be but nobody knows why it's not so. Hard work is not recognized as well as no work is not identified. People who in general do nothing but smile to everyone are valued more than those who what to make simple improvements because the latter challenge the managers and may reveal their ignorance. If non productive employees and managers with no-knowledge removed very small company will left.

Pros

- Brand Name - Good Pay - Acceptable Infrastructure - Learning opportunity

Cons

- Manager - HR - Policies that won't fit the IT business and culture - No proper road map - Even the smallest decisions get delayed and prolonged as in Government offices. - Employees not treated professionally by higher management and HR - No proper project management - Frequent termination of employees, even the good performing ones just because of grudge that management has.
