Pros

Nice weather. Good transportation. Clean offices.

Cons

No strategy for growth, weak leadership, poor incentive structure, dysfunctional from a performance management perspective, indifferent about its customers, lacking in all aspects except wide margins that will soon be eroding through regulatory and competitive evolution. Decision making is too centralized.

Pros

Good pay, Good benefits even though they have been drastically reduced, good experience if you can work for the right people.

Cons

The environment is highly political, lots of territorial jockeying, it's a place that loves to pigeon hole people so don't expect to get to try new things. Not a place for a long term career anymore. Staying for long time will hurt your chances for finding a new job.... HR is worthless, more so than in any other company I have ever worked. HR only worries about spinning "it" the right way and this culture killer has migrated through out the company. They embraced "project management" a few years ago and 99% of them are "worthless". They could save a ton of money by getting rid of them yet they continue to lay off technical people...

Pros

Compensation is equal or better than its competitors, and most employees are very friendly.

Cons

Performance is not valued. Whisper campaigns from ineffectual leaders engaged in rear guard protection trump measurable performance. How much you are liked is more important than how much you do. It is completely inept strategically, has no real plan to prosper beyond interchange gimmicks, and can't launch a new product without herculean efforts. Blonde, perky and white, and extremely left-coast mentally (and not in a good way). Very little interest in diversity. Zero tolerance for innovative thinking. Country club congeniality is prized more than originality and real leadership.
