Strong emphasis on corporate and professional ethics. Excellent compensation and benefits, including ongoing training to maintain industry certifications. Exposure to architecting and building high availability and redundant applications and services. 3 9s and 5 9s on up.

Cons

very high stress and workloads are common. Internal politics can be be extreme. Onerous processes and bureaucracy are bottlenecks to getting work done. Ongoing reorganizations. Sporadic communications from upper management on company strategy and direction.
