Visa has a strong brand and dominant market position, and is well positioned to take advantage of shifts from cash to electronic payment.
Cons
The dominant market position leads to a degree of arrogance in the organization and is an enabler for inefficient management and business practices, not unlike many companies coming out of a major reorganization. The current economic climate may portend significant changes in the way the organization conducts business; hopefully it will be used to invest strategically in new market and product segments in order to emerge out of the global recession ready to harvest the growth that they offer.
