Pros

It is mostly easy work, pretty easy to get a job there and it is a pretty stable company as of right now. If you are willing to move there is some opportunity to move up if you are in to the retail type of work.

Cons

The pay is not that very good. The different types of work are can be very limited They try to be too fair and equal with promotions, raises, and other job opportunity. What I mean by this is that they don't put very much emphasis on who would be best for the job they use other more quantifiable things so they can prove why they made there choice.

Pros

I really have nothing good to say.

Cons

Does not give you time to be with your family. Sales focused, not employee focused. The compensation is very low for the type of work. It does not pay to work there. Look elsewhere

Pros

The work is brainless, so it's easy money; If you have pulse, you are qualified to work at walmart. The 10% discount card is very nice, especially on big purchases. Almost all of the associates/management were very pleasant to work with.

Cons

Things can get a little bit stressful, both when management is stressed aswell as when customers are stressed. (--comparable to all retail establishments.) As mentioned above, the job is easy money. However, "you get what you're paid for" so.... it makes sense that you wouldn't get a huge deal of compensation for such an easy job, and Walmart definitely takes advantage of that. "Store-Set" is a time in which the SWAT team, (a team of rude and errogant associates who hate their jobs) raids a newly constructed Wal-Mart to over-see and ensure proper layout of the merchandise before the store's opening. This is a tedious and AWFUL procedure in which many new associates furiously quit their job after being berated and belittled by the SWAT team-- Very unimpressed with the way this is conducted.
