Great leadership. Its culture provides a lot of freedom to do your job when it best suits you as long as you deliver.

Cons

Limited financial upside. If you are an ambitious person, probably not the first place I would suggest.

Flexibility and trust go hand-in-hand at Gympass; we believe in our employees and their ability to integrate their professional responsibilities alongside the other areas of their lives. In terms of financial gains and incentives, Gympass employees are eligible annually for potential merit increases in their base salary, as well as for potential stock refresh grants where applicable. These opportunities are tied to our annual performance cycle, to ensure Gympassers are rewarded for strong performance.

We are sorry to hear that you perceived the Gympass environment as political. We value the voices, contributions, and ideas of all our employees, and as we continue to grow as a company, we are working consistently to ensure we maintain the open, receptive, and meritocratic culture we have built. Many of our teams already utilize skip-level 1-1 meetings to further communication, but there is always room to improve and the practice is certainly something we can continue encouraging. We also utilize our quarterly employee feedback survey as a crucial way to understand how Gympassers at all levels feel about their employment. The survey results, and the visibility they provide, enable us to respond to the needs of our full workforce. Other ways we ensure an equitable work environment include our performance review cycle, which evaluates employees on our leadership model in addition to their work product, and our adoption of the RASCI model, which ensures the most relevant people hold responsibility for projects, decisions, and escalations.

We understand that our teams have limited bandwidth and that saying yes to one project may mean saying no to another, and that Gympassers must be thoughtful in any decisions pertaining to prioritization. We certainly put a lot of thought into this on the leadership level, and we similarly encourage all Gympassers to feel empowered around this topic, as well. We encourage you to have open conversations with your teammates, cross-functional stakeholders, and your manager, around the best ways to utilize available bandwidth and what to prioritize. We all have the power to be leaders in our own job functions, and help direct our efforts where they are most beneficial.
