Pros

Wells Fargo treats its employees with the respect they deserve. The benefits package is particularly strong and the compensation for high sales performers is good. Morale is good, feedback is taken seriously and a generous time off program provides a good work/life balance. Communication is generally good, but has its gaps like any big company has. Senior management are generally thoughtful and sensitive people. I have never been yelled at in ten years of working here by any manager.

Cons

It is a large, conservative organization that has all the downsides associated with a large bureaucracy. Trying to change things can sometimes be akin to changing the course of the titanic.

Pros

The company was well run and seemed to have a good strategic plan. The senior managers all had many years of experience with the company and were very capable. Also, good benefits for employees including 25 PTO in first year. A lot of training opportunities. Almost everyone else I met at the company was very satisfied with how they were treadted

Cons

Felt like there was limited upside. The pay was ok, but not as good as other banks. The company approach to business is very conservative, which can be frustrating. From a business standpoint this was a good thing, but not quite so exciting when young.

Pros

Wonderful benefits package, even if you're only working part time. To start, you receive 20 paid vacation days per year, plus 6 federal holidays off. Great hours to work--sometimes half a day on Saturday, but never evenings or Sundays.

Cons

Because Wells Fargo is such a huge organization, it can be very political. By the time communication reaches a branch level, you sometimes feel as if corporate has no idea what's going on in the retail stores. Numbers are HUGELY important, and sales are often more important than what's best for the customer.
