Pros

There are some creative and smart people in the office.

Cons

Incredibly high turn over. They mask it by saying they are growing but that's not true. People are leaving because there is no opportunity for advancement. There are a few favorite employees who get promoted time after time while others linger. A number of employees demonstrate poor professional behavior creating a toxic workplace for the rest.

Basically a dead end job

Pros

There is a good work life balance, a lot of PTO days and the chance to work from home every so often.

Cons

The company doesn't have its priorities straight. They'd rather invest in redesigning the building than keep 120 full-time employees. There is also no room for growth in most departments and pay is very low even in the publishing industry

Motivation and enthusiasm sapped

Pros

Locally colleagues are fantastic, determined, helpful, team players who are willing to help one another. Relatively flexible working and relaxed environment. Local HR team do their best despite being short staffed and reorganisations to sort through.,

Cons

Constant uncertainty with reorganisations, job security is unknown. Globally made to feel of little value - just a number. Latest restructure has all but one member of leadership team in US. Those senior managers 'left' from latest reorg don't seem to 'buy-in' or know strategy for future. Very little career progression opportunity - you're almost 'lucky' to keep your job let alone progress!
