Pros

Wiley is genuinely committed to innovation, particularly in the AI and digital transformation space. It’s refreshing to be part of an organization that’s not only talking about change but actively implementing it. The company fosters a collaborative culture where curiosity, learning, and cross-functional sharing are encouraged. Purpose-driven work: Contributing to global research and education feels deeply rewarding. Work-life balance is well-respected, and flexibility is supported across teams.

Cons

As with many established organizations, some legacy processes and systems persist, which can occasionally slow down progress. Communication between departments can be inconsistent, leading to missed opportunities or duplicated efforts. Change can be slow in areas that require greater agility or faster decision-making.

Pros

Wiley is all in on using AI in the most responsible, effective, and business-driven manner. Wiley cares about the people who they employee. They offer programs to benefit physical, emotional, and mental health. Wiley provides great tools to support career growth. There are project opportunities across the organization, guidance and how to have the best performance review and more. Wiley is committed to helping it's colleagues to be their best professionally and personally.

Cons

Wiley went thru some redefining of priorities after financial reporting was less than expected. Now, it is actively moving from good to great. The company outlook has risen dramatically since the new CEO (Matt Kissner) took over. Currently, no cons to mention.

Joke of a Company

Pros

Nice people and a nice office.

Cons

Layoffs are constant, every year, like clockwork. US jobs are being sent overseas en masse. Management doesn't care about the employee's well-being. Wiley just laid off a bunch of people, and then they encouraged their employees to write a glassdoor review. That is the definition of dysfunction. Nice way to shoot yourself in the foot, Wiley.
