Pros

Great people can still be found, a legacy of what once was. If you have a passion for publishing and are interested in an evolving industry, you'll find it all here.

Cons

The realignment of the organization has resulted in disgruntled, unhappy, workers unsure of what's next. Business as usual only works for those who have career stability. Hard workers are not valued nor distinguished. Only the top-tier old boys club are recognized for a job well done. Everyone else just gets the same 2% increase year after year and you're told to be grateful you still have a job. Systems are old and cumbersome. Change is slow and regular layoffs abound.

Pros

Some good teammates and very helpful Manager

Cons

I worked at this company for 7 years and never expected to be treated this way. Management moved my entire team to a third-party vendor without any prior communication, consultation, or respect for the people who built this business. We were later told the entity was sold, as if we were just numbers on a spreadsheet. This is one of the most disappointing and unprofessional experiences I’ve had in my career. After years of commitment, the company handled a major decision with complete lack of transparency and empathy. If you value stability, honesty, and employee respect, think twice before joining. 1. No transparency from leadership 2. Major organizational changes communicated too late 3. Employees treated as disposable during transition 4. Very poor people management

Pros

- Supportive colleagues who are doing their best in a business environment that lacks resources, clear direction, and a sustainable model. - Generous PTO policy (unlimited), though you may face criticism for taking time off if it's perceived that you are "behind" on work.

Cons

- A toxic workplace culture driven by excessive micromanagement, constant criticism, and unprofessional behavior from management. - Frequent, unproductive meetings. - Shifting goals and frequent leadership turnover, leading to rapid departure of top talent. - Outsourcing to third-party vendors with inconsistent quality and lack of expertise. - Ineffective HR and legal teams that fail to support employees properly. - Employees are stretched thin and unable to focus on meaningful work.
