Pros

Working from home, kind people, good food in the cafeteria

Cons

Right now, Wiley is going through a restructure and a lot of things are up in the air. No one outside of those working in Books or Journals trusts that they will be able to keep their job. Many people are uncertain about their positions and the mood in the company is rather negative. It's also pretty hard to meet people while working here. Now that the exercise classes are gone, everyone will be back in their silos, never seeing anyone else.

Pros

Great salary increases up to 10% plus bonus, great PTO program, 100% paid for master's degree for you or your spouse

Cons

Culture change rapid since bought out by Wiley. Promotions internally are rare. There are people who have been here 3-5 years who have fantastic qualifications and are never even offered the opportunity for some of the higher level openings filled with outside people. No career path. Metrics driven. You will be moved constantly without any say about what team you are going to be put on - the better you do your job, the more you will be moved because they will need you to drive a budget on a new start or struggling team. So much of what made the culture here great three/four years ago has disappeared. However, in terms of ed management companies, this is still the very best.
