Pros

Great brand with high quality authors and content, making a steady and profitable move to digital. People are friendly, great benefits, good working environment. Recent restructuring changes have been unsettling but seem right-headed given changes in the business.

Cons

Pay could be more attractive but seems about right for the publishing industry. Would like to see top performers recognized. People stay at Wiley for a LONG time so career opportunities are a bit limited.

Pros

It's close to home and I really enjoy the people I work with. The benefits are slightly above average and work hours can be flexible.

Cons

It's a big company and change can be very slow and painful. Corporate communications are not always timely or informative. There are no formal career pathways--individuals must find their own. The company can come off as a bit paternalistic, talking as if they're making decisions for the employee as if they were a child needing to be taken care of.
