Excellent place to be.

Pros

Great, smart colleagues. Best publishing house to work at in the industry. The Wiley family still plays an important role in the company -- culture is solid. Not cutthroat and hyper corporate like other publishing houses.

Cons

Marketing is undervalued by company leaders.

Pros

Great people can still be found, a legacy of what once was. If you have a passion for publishing and are interested in an evolving industry, you'll find it all here.

Cons

The realignment of the organization has resulted in disgruntled, unhappy, workers unsure of what's next. Business as usual only works for those who have career stability. Hard workers are not valued nor distinguished. Only the top-tier old boys club are recognized for a job well done. Everyone else just gets the same 2% increase year after year and you're told to be grateful you still have a job. Systems are old and cumbersome. Change is slow and regular layoffs abound.
