Pros

I work for the IFC branch in a country office. As an economist I get to see all the investment projects in my region, which is fascinating. I also contribute to analytics /strategic documents and private-public projects. The amount of expertise in the group is insane!

Cons

The flipside: there are so many things to be involved in - it's such a huge organization - that it is sometimes difficult to have the time to produce a deep analysis / make a meaningful contribution. But that may evolve with time as I carve out my role to my personality.
