      Pros

      IFC can be an inspirational place, when the organization works towards its mission.

      Cons

      Management is constantly tied up in politics. The number of reorganizations this place has due to internal politics, never allows the the institution to actually establish itself to do work.

      Pros

      Excellent pay and benefits if you achieve and maintain a staff position. Globally relevant work and diverse colleagues.

      Cons

      Archaic internal processes; extremely hierarchical leadership structure; constant political restructures that require you to adapt or die; often vague and simultaneous opposing directives from senior colleagues; many projects never completed; grossly unequal treatment of staff vs consultants (the latter of whom do the same work for half the pay and zero benefits); very limited opportunities for advancement.

      An intellectually stimulating and innovative place to work!

      Pros

      The IFC is a great place to work. If you like to be part of an international and intellectually stimulating environment IFC is the place to be! It is important for me personally to know that, through our work, we are contributing in supporting IFCs mission on advancing economic development and improving the lives of the most vulnerable people/communities in the developing world. In my experience so far, management is welcoming of new innovative ideas creating a comfortable work environment to express and share views within the team. Other pros of working at IFC: You get to interact with amazing professionals in their respective fields and get to hear about how the work they do impacts vulnerable economies/peoples Very competitive salaries and benefits Flexible work arrangements Travel (at least before Covid-19 and hopefully after)

      I have not observed any cons so far to mention.
