      Pros

      Amazing exposure to finance to International Development. You get to work with highly educated people from the best universities in the world. Allows chances for travel.

      Cons

      I was never given an orientation at a big institutions as such as the WB, therefore it was a very difficult start. Technical leaders are so arrogant to realize that they need better leadership, management and communications skills to supervise a team. They could take you for granted to their best interest and when their interest is achieved there will be no responsibility towards subordinates especially the type of contracts they offer and after a contract you are left unemployed again.

      Pros

      The institution has some a wealth of knowledge and colleagues are some of the sharpest specialists in their field. Be prepared to compete and drive yourself to become a better professional.

      Cons

      the "right-sizing' exercise has taken longer than anticipated, making staff nervous about future directions. Depending on unit, hours will be long and expectations high. As a large institution it is bureaucratic.
