Pros

Copenhagen is a luxury duty station for UN staff

Cons

If you are thinking of applying to the WHO regional office for Europe and are a decent human being who dreams of working at the UN and in public health please do not even bother apply. If you are a backstabbing, egocentric elitist with strong political connections to a member states whose vote the regional director needs then step right up. Should you decide to run the gauntlet of application don’t worry, you won’t get it unless you know someone on the inside or are willing to sell your soul doing endless short term contracts kissing the bottom of whomever is controlling your contract and willing to do anything and everything (with no credit and certainly no name on any visible piece of work). Management visibility and ambitions come first, public health and safety and firm second.
