      Good and Bad about working at BP

      Pros

      Good Benefits, reasonable compensation, flexibility in managing your career, focus on training employees - the company spends a lot of money on learning courses and pays for external training and there is a training budget. There are also many good in-house training to attend.

      Cons

      Reorganization always every two to four years. The org. structure is always changing do to political battles at the top - the bottom guys have to live with the decisions - good or bad. Usually the guys at the top move to better job and pay as result of the new design, but the consequences of negative fall-out are felt through the organization at the mid-to-lower level.

      BP is a great company they treat people well and respect work life balance. Opportunities are opened to all who commit and demonstrate capability. The company focus on the full package rather than on base salary alone. They operate in many countries so there is opportunity for mobilisation, but it's not a guarantee.

      Cons

      It has been thru many changes lately in terms of structure but with the aim to make it a better and more efficient company. You will need to cope well with change and adapt in order to be successful.
