Pros

bp was one of my favourite workplaces. - Salary and compensation was great. Flexible working, and ownership of projects. - Multiple projects and ability to move to different projects and pick up new skills. - Innovative

Cons

- Business transformation and redundancies happened every 2 years or so, so no job security. - You could be moved onto a completely different project every business transformation (1-2 years), and the projects may not be in your skillset, so you have to learn on the job. - bp are now starting to return to the office and recruiting heavily offshore, and as a software engineer most of my team were in India, so I'd sit in the office alone without a team around me, so working in the office doesn't make sense for a software dev when most team members are not in the UK.

Pros

Great people to work with at bp. Compensation and benefits are very good compared to other companies.

Cons

Upper managements vision for bp unclear and decision making at the strategic level not well thought out.
