5 interviews, two technical, two values, one exec sponsor. Place a lot of importance in ways of thinking and analyzing a problem. Last interview is with a senior leader and should be approached as an opportunity for interesting discussions on the work you've done in the past.
I applied online. I interviewed at Activision Blizzard (Toronto, ON)
Interview
After receiving an email that requires candidates to send some motivations or skills, and reasons why they want to work for the company, I got an invitation for the interview through zoom.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Activision Blizzard (Santa Monica, CA) in Sep 2023
Interview
Had initial screen call with a recruiter. Told about myself, and after that no follow-up questions. When started asking questions, the recruiter kept saying "I will hear the answer from the Hiring Manager, and I cannot answer this question." Really? You can't even answer the culture question? Felt like she wanted to end the call as fast as possible, and I was just another annoying meeting in her calendar. She told me that she would be scheduling me with the Hiring Manager and said that I needed to send my availability to her. But didn't clarify which email, cause she was using encrypted email, and I wouldn't know if she would receive the email from me. Nevertheless, I sent my availability to the encrypted email. No follow-up email after that. Not even rejection email. But after 2 weeks I am receiving survey email to share my experience. Really? Really annoying that they put unprofessional people as a gatekeepers for actually having decent interview with the team.
