I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Boston, MA) in Aug 2017
Interview
Totally disorganized. You could be highly qualified with lot of experience and best education possible but you still will be interviewed by someone who is not qualified. Some of the interviewers have no clue about what they are asking, and the person definitely have no technical depth whatsoever, and if you try to explain, they will hammer you with their own assumption.
Infact, in my interview, the interviewer was asking from her background which was totally un-related to the job or my background. The interviewer was totally out of line the way she conducted the interview. She was totally un-professional, un-prepared for the interview and had no technical depth or program management depth. And even though she is employed with Amazon, her opening statement was she is calling from Microsoft! Go figure!!!! Glad that I was not invited for an onsite, it would have been a bigger ordeal!!!!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Where do I begin?? You are being interviewed by a person, who thinks shouting at the employees and asking a set of repeated questions in a loud voice is program management and that will elicit the required response from developers. !!! Infact the interviewer used the same technique on me by shouting at me and I felt berated. No wonder Amazon's churn rate of employees is One year ofcourse, what do you expect with this kind of employees and culture??
