I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Fairfax, VA) in Jan 2021
Interview
Quick, professional, and to the point. My Interview process took all of 4 business days. Very impressed with the quality of the interviewers and the overall vibe of the company.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Arlington, VA) in Jan 2021
Interview
Quick, easy, and fluid. This was the most comfortable interview i've been through. Everyone was thoughtful and seemed interested in hearing about my experiences throughout my career. I could tell - just by the interview process - that BAH stands by its values.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions regarding telling them about yourself and the skills you've attained throughout your career to understand how you'd be a good match for the position.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton in Feb 2021
Interview
Got an email from a recruiter then a phone screen. Talked about work experience, what I was looking for in a position, and salary expectations.
Had a virtual panel interview with 4 senior engineers. I was so over the interview just 10 minutes in but didn’t know how to politely stop the call. One of them just grilled me incessantly even on topics I clearly stated that I had no experience with but was willing to learn. No white boarding/coding. Purely experience-related questions, stuff about tech I’ve used, “what would you do if” type questions. Seems like they were looking for someone they could immediately squeeze productivity out of; no interest in investment or growth.
For a company that has diversity and inclusion splashed all over their social media, it was disappointing to see that my entire panel was white and male. Whoever is in charge of setting up these interviews really doesn’t understand how hiring works regarding “diversity” because, despite what you might think (or hope), there will be implicit bias and a panel of white men will more than likely hire more white men.
