Interview
I applied for a position through LinkedIn and was subsequently contacted by a recruiter via text message. The initial communication seemed promising, as the recruiter expressed interest in discussing the role further and asked for a suitable time for a phone call. However, my experience took a negative turn from there. Despite providing a time for the call, the recruiter failed to make the scheduled call and left me waiting. Following the missed call, I received an apologetic text from the recruiter, indicating that the call would be rescheduled for a different time. Unfortunately, this rescheduled call also never took place. Surprisingly, almost a month later, I received an email from the same recruiter informing me that the company had chosen to proceed with other candidates. This news was disappointing and frustrating, especially given the lack of communication and follow-through on the recruiter's part. Overall, my interaction with this recruiter left me feeling disregarded and undervalued as a potential candidate. Effective communication and respectful follow-up are essential components of the recruitment process, and unfortunately, these aspects were sorely lacking in this experience. I hope that the company takes steps to improve its recruitment procedures and communication with candidates in the future.
