I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Cengage (Cincinnati, OH) in Apr 2013
Interview
Recruiter called me for an open position that she felt fit with my background. We spoke 1:1 and decided it the open positon was not a good fit for my background (too low level), so she setup an interview for me to meet with one of the General Managers. My 1:1 meeting with the GM worked out well and a day of interviews was arranged with the foremost decision makers at the Cincinnati office. These interviews were professional and fair

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cengage (Singapura) in Jul 2013
Interview
Applied online, passed a screening phone interview. Then three rounds of one-on-one interview with three different in-department supervisors, including a skills test (finding errors in a document) during the first round. I was hired mainly because 1) I didn't mess up the interviews and 2) I had the highest score on the editorial skills test.
