Sad reality of today's world ! The recruiter called me , asked 4 questions and didn't even give me a chance to ask any questions...said we have 6 more people to interview but you are the most qualified one among them for this role ! No explanation or feedback just an automated email today that I am no longer being considered for this role ! Employers please do better ! After all employees are just a number for you correct ? How about taking some time and writing a feedback on the rejection?!
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cengage
Interview
The interview process was relatively straightforward: recruiter screening, hiring manager interview, and conversations with two other teammates.
I had to follow up with the recruiter each time I was told I was moving forward because the scheduling team didn’t reach out within the promised timeframe. During my final and fourth conversation with one of the other teammates, she was beyond disengaged and made it feel like I was wasting her time.
I appreciate the transparency of the hiring manager that they were also considering internal candidates. It helped me to set my expectations, and considering this role was for the "Talent and Potential" team, I would have hoped they found "talented potential" within. I wish them all the best!
