I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Atlanta, GA) in May 2015
Interview
I applied on a Saturday and got an email the following Monday saying that I was invited to a Chipotle job fair that Thursday at 10am. I had a class at that exact time so I rescheduled for Friday at 10. When I arrived, the store was not yet open, but a worker let me in. 10:30 rolled around and someone still had not come out to interview me, but eventually the manager came out and started. I wrote down my name and phone number on the spreadsheet she gave me and then we began. After I asked what the next steps were and when I should expect some info, and she told me that there was two more interviews and they would set me up with the second one in 24hrs. It's been way past that time frame with no call or email.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle (Clarksville, TN) in Jun 2015
Interview
Applied online through the company's website. Received an email about 2 weeks later inviting me to a group interview. I got there 10 minutes early and sat with the rest of the applicants. It was mid-afternoon and we were sitting directly in front of the serving line. This was a terrible interview environment; busy, loud, distracting. We waited for over 15 minutes before two managers came out to interview us. They both seemed pretty laid back, friendly, laughing, but they liked to do all the talking. We were only asked to introduce ourselves and then each of us was asked what we like to do in our spare time. I unfortunately sat at the opposite end of the table from the managers, so I felt like I was shouting each time to answer! The interview lasted about 10-15 minutes.... a terribly short interview to try and 'get to know' 6 people. I had so much more to say, but no real opportunity to say it! I feel like there is no way they could have picked up on finding the '13 Characteristics' in each applicant in the time we were allotted, with the lack of questions asked! I was the oldest applicant in my group, which was comprised mainly of high school students. I did not receive a second interview; I got an email that evening saying that they couldn't offer me a job. What an awful experience!!! I have a degree in hospitality, currently work in a kitchen, and I have been following this company for a while now. I even did a financial analysis of this company for my school work. I was so impressed with their vision, I thought for sure I'd be a great asset. It looks like the company as a whole has a great idea, but at the store level, it's run by young 'millennials' who can't or won't take the time to recognize true talent and passion. Too bad... your loss, Chipotle!!!!
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Miami, FL) in Nov 2012
Interview
I applied online and they called me a week after for a phone interview. If you passed the interview, they set up a group interview with all the crew members, Apprentice, and General manager. If they approve of you, you get the job. Each crew member will ask a question of their choice to see if you qualify to be part of their family.
