Phone call with HR/recruiter and then 2 rounds of onsite interviews. Interviewed with several team members and management. Got a call back after a week with an offer. Decent interview experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe project contributions in current and past roles
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Daikin (Ostend, West Flanders) in Jul 2019
Interview
The process consists of 2 interviews, one first technical (mostly hard skills) and the second one more focused on soft skills. The first interview is with 1 or 2 engineers and it goes quite fast, the technical questions are not difficult, just some basic stuff about the area you are applying to. The second interview is much longer and quite challenging, you are "grilled" by 4 director-level people, they ask a lot of questions on how would you solve an inter-personal problem, how to deal with colleges and bosses, you organisational methods, your ambitions and aspirations, what would you do if the project was running late, etc.
In the end they offered an insultingly low salary (less 500€/month than what I was already making at the time), and stated that they prefer to "reward" their employees with, for example," work abroad opportunities". Come on guys, I'm already an expat, my whole life is a never-ending "work abroad opportunity". I refused the offer.
I applied online. I interviewed at Daikin (Kuala Lumpur) in Jun 2015
Interview
Take time for HR to process and call. After interview, better follow up with email. After follow with email need to wait about few days. After that, better call again or email if they are not responsive.
