I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Epic
Interview
Initial interview is a phone interview. The first step is just a discussion about interests and items on your resume. There weren't any technical questions at the first interview.
The person conducting the interview was pleasant and shared a lot of information about the company and about Wisconsin, where the company is located.
He told me the next step will be an assessment. It's been about a week since the first interview. I haven't heard back from them yet.

Interview
I applied on-line and took a personality quiz. While filling out the application I began to get the feeling I was not a candidate for EPIC. I have been involved with HL7 and integration in Healthcare since the mid 80's and provide integration consulting. I believe I had to much experience. I last took the SAT in 1979 and don't remember my exact GPA from 1984. Based on my experience, EPIC is looking for young, smart college graduates that they can mold into the EPIC University model.

Interview
I applied online and was immediately asked to do the Rembrandt Profile. All communication was done online. About a week later a phone interview was set up. Interviewer was from Technical Services. She was very informative and we mostly talked about the company and my backgroumd. Another weeek or so went by and then I was scheduled for proctored assessments at a local library. There were two. One was 20 programming questions starting with a made up programming language which progressively became more complicated. I do not have programming experience (told I did not need it) and I found the assessment to be challenging. The other assessment was math and logic which were no problem. I think I may have taken too long on the assessment and maybe tried to progress farther than my capabilities. A week or two later I was notified that they were continuing with other candidates.
