The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Flowserve (Vernon, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
Met with the director of Engineering and H.R. rep. H.R. asked your generic questions. Director asked about Strengths and Materials. However, it depends what you are interviewing for, I went in prepared for fluids questions, not realizing they wanted me for materials engineering. The facility itself and the employees seemed cold.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Flowserve (Chesapeake, VA) in Jan 2009
Interview
Typical interview. You talk to a bunch of people and then are evaluated on a group presentation as well. You stay in the best hotel, I mean they treat you really nice. However dont be fooled by the way they treat you at the interview. Its a lure tactic. The HR lady wont even say hello to you after to accept the job. She is your best freind until you accept though.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Flowserve in Dec 2010
Interview
Two 1-on-1 interviews among other evaluation procedure; one from HR, the other from an engineer. Both basically only inquired about working in groups and leadership. They assume anybody who gets invited past the first round of 1-on-1 campus interviews is techincally qualified to do the engineering jobs. The two days were basically evaluating your work in groups, leadership qualities, and if you'll fit in with the group.
Seems like a good company interested mostly in selling their products, servicing them, and manufacturing efficiently. One of the higher-ups at the recruitment event said there wasn't much "organic growth" in the industry, so the impression I got was that most new technology and innovation comes from acquiring other companies rather than internally.
