Interview
Staff Writer interview at LiveScience followed by a two-part writing test a week later. Despite spending a significant amount of time completing this process and the hiring manager telling me they would be in touch, no one bothered to contact me to tell me the outcome. After a few weeks I chased them and was ignored. Incredibly rude and unprofessional to expect candidates to complete tests etc and then not bother to tell them that they were unsuccessful. Looking at others’ reviews this is standard practice at Future Plc.

There was no response to follow-up emails, which speaks volumes about the culture. After putting in a fair bit of work, it's not unreasonable to expect a reply, even if it's a polite 'No thank you.' but no.
The brief glimpses of the office spoke volumes about the corporate culture - plenty of unpaid overtime and out-of-hours work, for what was essentially a low salary
