I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at InnoGames (Hamburgo) in Mar 2017
Interview
Entire hiring process consisted of several parts:
1. Phone interview with HR contact.
2. Skills test, with a deadline of 2 working days. (Programming, probability calculation, DB systems etc.)
3. Technical skype interview
4. Personal interviews on site in Hamburg
I find the entire process pretty straightforward. I had a great time applying to InnoGames, mostly due to the fact that all people involved were very nice and understandable.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you do when, during a code review, somebody doesn't like your code?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at InnoGames in Oct 2014
Interview
I applied through a job ad. After 10 days got a generic email from a recruiter inviting me to the technical phone interview. I confirmed the date, but didn't get any response.
In a week a got an expected call from one of their devs. Turned out their recruiter messed up the dates.
In an appointed days I got another call. The guy was nice, he quickly introduced himself, asked about my background and motivation to join the company. The technical part consisted of general front-end and Javascript questions, about design patterns and MVC, for example:
- how event system in JS works
- how to attach event to a model in backbone.js
- explain facade and module patterns
After that he asked if I had any questions and answered them. 1 hour in total.
A week after the interview I wrote to the HR asking for a feedback. He said they had a good impression and invite me to a second round of interviews, asking for a day/time slot. I replied but never heard from them again.
My opinion: the company who hires such an incompetent and ignorant recruiters, who didn't answer your questions and send you only generic email templates, can't be worth working for.
