First I had call interview from the human resources department asking general questions. Then, I received an invitation so I can have the second interview with the procurement team.
The second interview Was smooth and easy. They asked me about my story in the regular interview questions.
They also asked me about the project they are working on.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A situation where i had not an easy decision, and how I responded.
Interview is not designed to avoid biases. Questions are very odd and not competency based. Questions like - ‘what would you do in the first 90 days in the role’. ‘What would your top 3 priorities be’. I suppose it allows for less experienced people to demonstrate understanding, but its so very subjective.
I also found the interviewers to be quite rude. Some of my answers were probably a bit longwinded as I stumbled over questions I found unusual. We all have bad interviews from time to time but their reactions were so unprofessional. One of the interviewers actually let out a big sigh, the other rolled his eyes.
I should note, I am an experienced manager in this field with over a decade of experience and have been frequently promoted at my current company. I hope the attitude they felt comfortable displaying is not indicative of a wider culture problem.
