Standard on line application, which consists of filling out personal details; previous work experience, education etc. Also includes 4 essay type questions, usually: why mace? why did you apply for the role? . (2500 characters each) After submitting the on line application you will then receive an invitation to the interview. The company does not reimburse you for the travel costs.

Why do you want to work for Mace? Why project management? Why Leeds? Besides this the interviewer did not ask any further questions despite being told it was a competency based interview which should be at least 45 minutes.

Interview
First of all written application on the website with 4 questions to answer.
Then face to face interview in London, competency based interview, they made me feel very comfortable. Finally, assessment centre lasted half a day. two group exercises and one individual one. The individual was a presentation about a solar farm to be built. Group exercises: discussion about three projects, and choose which one you would bid for. The second was about Mace foundation, we had to organise an event and raise money for charity.

Three interviews in total, one with recruiter, one with head of the head of department for whom I would report to and one with the Business Unit executive director and project director I would work directly for.
