Interview
Applied online in November 2017. Application form was quite long and asked 4 specific questions about Mace/the role/your motivations for applying, but the effort put in at this stage is offset by the fact that there are no online tests or phone interview required. I found out in December that I was through to a first-round face to face interview at Mace in January. This was with an HR representative and someone from the department I was applying for. It lasted about 40 minutes and involved all the usual competency questions as well as quite a few very specific questions about experience on my CV. Two days later I heard I was through to the final assessment centre. This lasted half a day and comprised two group tasks and an individual presentation, the information for all of which was given to us on the day so no prior preparation needed. We were told we would know the outcome within ten working days and I heard that I was unsuccessful on the fourth working day via an automated email which offered the opportunity for feedback if we requested it via email.

Interview
First stage is a face to face interview, with a member of the graduate recruitment team and a member of the team you are applying for. They ask you ordinary competency based questions and then speak about your C.V. They make you feel very comfortable, but know your C.V. inside out.
Stage 2 - Assessment Centre - Half a day, consists of 2 group activities, 1 problem solving, 1 picking a location for a new school with loads of different variables. Individual is picking a project for Mace to go forward with.

Interview
Good interview and friendly staff. Was a bit behind schedule but was ok. Only bad thing was that they said I'd be told of outcome in 7 days but took 1 month to invite to assessment centre in which time I'd accepted another offer.

Thanks for the feedback and we’re sorry that your application took longer to process than we would both have liked. Some of the delay was due to the Christmas close down, however, we understand that all applicants want to get their applications processed as quickly as possible and we are looking at how we can improve our approach in light of your experience.
