Mace interview questions

After completing the first part of the application - competency questions - I was invited for an interview at the headoffice in London. I had prepared for additional questions to the written questions, but once I got there, I felt like they were just repeating the previous competency questions. I tried to give different answers to what I had already written, but I realised the interviewers were totally unaware of my previous answers to those. It was a mess; I'm not a broken record. They also said I had a wide range of experience on my CV, I must admit as an undergraduate civil engineer it is tough to get a lot of exposure in the engineering world (I was a second yr student).

I applied towards the end of October and was interviewed in mid-November. It was a competency based interview, but they also focused a lot on career aspirations and passion for the construction industry. They also wanted to make sure you knew what you were applying for, so they asked what did I think my responsibilities would be and what did I think I would spend my day doing.
