Applied to a couple locations near me-3 -4 weeks later I got a call from one for an interview. The girl who gave the interview seemed VERY inexperienced and asked me only one interview question before telling me that (surprise) I would be doing a facial on their lead esthetician. I was actually working on the receptionist while the lead esthetician stood over me. I felt like it was a trick interview. I had to keep asking for supplies that were not out & they wanted the facial done in a very specific way (which I was apparently supposed to intuit) and with very very little product-I mean really... putting on a mask with a popsicle stick and giving me literally a drop of mask? I couldn't even cover half the poor girls face. It was awful - in my opinion if you're not going to use the products or materials to get the job done don't bother. I hate the feeling of not being able to give the absolute best experience. The lead esthetician kept telling me how wonderfully I'd done - they were going to have me back for a second interview on "products" then she sent me back to the manager who told me she'd call me that night. Never heard back. I definitely felt there was a secret criteria I didn't meet (like not being in my 20's). Also I cannot respect a place that lies to my face about scheduling another interview or calling me-at least be honest. So unprofessional.

Question 1
Why Massage Envy?
That's the only actual interview question I was asked.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Miami, FL) in Mar 2017
Interview
I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled interview. While I filled out my application, they interviewed someone else. She was done by the time I gave back my application. Then I proceeded to wait nearly an hour before I was called. They spent at least 40 minutes talking in their office then went out for a coffee at Starbucks. When they came back, they called me in. By this time I was rather annoyed about the wait and wasn't as enthusiastic about my responses as I could have been. Didn't receive a call back.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself. What did I observe as I waited to call? Availability.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Louisville, KY)
Interview
It has changed a lot since I interviewed over 9 years ago. The process requires an interview and "hands on" interview to evaluate massage technique. I met both owners and performed a massage on 1 of them.
