Interview
I applied online and the very next day I got a call back from the hiring manager to come in for an interview. I got there 10 minutes early, only to find out that the lady interviewing me was not ready at all for my arrival... The hiring manager seemed a little upset that I was there so early. She and the desk girls were having lunch during my interview, she kept the door wide open, and there were lots of distractions... which I think was meant to give a relaxed feel, but it came off as unprofessional and rude. Not to mention the hiring manager ate before receiving her massage. It felt as if she wasn't interested in my skills as a therapist, but instead to treat herself to a special pampering day.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Massage Envy in Aug 2013
Interview
One interview with the Assistant clinic administrator and then one with the owner and manager to see if i would get the job. It wasn't too difficult i just had to answer a few simple questions about places i have worked before. I thought I was apply for more of a receptionist job but it was more of a sales position with that being their target for hiring you. It was hard to work there not knowing anything about massage. Even if I could have gotten one massage when starting I would have done a lot better. But it was hard to sell a product that I had never even used. The product being massage. Now i know the true benefits of it but while I was working there for a few months, I didn't know anything! Lots of answering phone calls, booking appointments, light cleaning. It would be very beneficial to know about massage a little bit before working the front desk. Was a pretty good job over all with opportunities for small bonuses and such.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Redmond, WA) in Jan 2012
Interview
The process is very informal with the manager reading off a list of questions. One of the easiest interviews that I've sat through. Most of the questions were about getting along with coworkers and not about the actual position. Sales experience is not needed

The questions are basic and there were no unexpected questions. Look online for sample interview questions and the questions in the interview are practically going to be the same
