Interview
The interview was very long but everyone was so kind and welcoming! The placement coordinator gave amazing feedback that helped prepare me for the interview on the unit. I highly recommend preparing for the interview. I looked up behavioral questions a head of time so that I could really think about all my experiences and prepare which ones I could use which really helped make things flow so much better. You also get asked prioritization questions where you have to provide rationale and steps you would take with each patient. Overall a very positive experience!
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) in Jan 2017
Interview
The interview was primarily focused on personality questions, very little on actual lab experience. They more looked for someone trainable who fit in well with the lab. Definitely go over personality based questions, and don't be alarmed by their group interview process. There are normally 5-6 people interviewing you ranging from other research techs to PhDs and MDs.
