Interview
First hour was a typical interview with a 3 person panel via Zoom. Then the hiring manager tells me that I need to check my email. She had sent me a spreadsheet that she wanted me to open and share my screen. I was not informed of this prior to the interview and was on my iPad. The spreadsheet was a test that they wanted to take in front of all of them and defend my work. I had to do it in my laptop and send it back to them while we all stayed on the zoom call. I sent it and then she shared it in her screen and went through it and “graded” it. It was one of the worst interviews I have ever had. Seemed very unprofessional to not give me any notice and I felt like I was back in grade school. How financial data is analyzed varies slightly between organizations and it felt like I was judged for not already knowing exactly how she wanted it done. Never applying for a job with them again. I regularly see jobs posted and now I know why- high turnover due to unrealistic demands.
