Got a first call from an HR representative after my submission on Linkedin. Then my second call was with a manager that asked me about my previous experiences. Unfortunately there was no follow up on that.
I applied online. I interviewed at Meraki (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Recruiter asked some behavioral questions, basic questions about past experience, what I'm looking for. Next round was a technical interview over video, some questions involved sharing my own screen, or answering questions based on a diagram from interviewer's shared screen.
Open ended question about a high level diagram, with an interface between MCU and FPGA or other peripheral, and how one might debug if something goes wrong.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meraki in Jun 2023
Interview
I was fortunate to be referred by a current employee and subsequently contacted by their recruiter. We scheduled a time to chat, but unfortunately, the recruiter missed our appointment. After sharing my experience of being ghosted with the referring employee, they kindly reached out to the recruiter on my behalf.
The recruiter eventually apologized and we had a brief but promising conversation about the role. However, disappointingly, I was once again met with silence. There was no further contact, follow-up, or explanation regarding the status of my application.
Despite this disappointing experience, I can't help but feel fortunate. It's clear that this company's treatment of potential candidates reflects poorly on its overall culture. I can only imagine how their employees must be treated.
