I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nasdaq (Boston, MA)
Interview
Applied through campus listing. I had just one round on campus interview (1 hour long). Half technical coding questions, half behavioral. They were interested in my motivations behind pursuing my major and why I wanted to work in tech. All their questions started broad and then dug deeper. Overall, a great experience.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nasdaq (Rosmalen) in Jul 2012
Interview
The application procedure has changed a lot since I applied. At that time, it was rather quick. Most care was taken to find an applicant with which there was a click with key managers. After a few interviews, the company makes a decision based on the experience and the resume. A security check is also performed to make sure the credentials are correct and there is no security issue with the applicant.

3 Interviews: one phone interview, an in-person meeting with a manager and I also had the chance to ask questions with a small group of future co-workers. The 3rd interview was a quick presentation of training on a website. This was to show my training capabilities.
