The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Niantic (New York, NY)
Interview
It was quick and professional. I had interviews with the entire product team that I will be supporting as well as an HR manager, another data scientist, my future boss, and the VP of Data.
Most of the interviews were 1:1 and there were case questions as well as coding. It was a well rounded interview process and the recruiting team was incredibly helpful throughout.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time when you have failed at something. How did you handle it?
Initial phone call with recruiter. They give you a take home test as the first step. I specifically told the recruiter that I would only do the take home if the team would provide feedback regardless of what happened. Recruiter said they would provide feedback. Did the take home, submitted it, got rejected, and no feedback. DO NOT INTERVIEW WITH THEM! Liars who won't up to their words.
