I apply for a UX position, did not get an offer but I was actually impressed by my interview experience. From the moment I first connected with the manager, I felt valued and respected. The entire process was handled with professionalism and warmth.
The interviews were clear and engaging. The interviewers were knowledgeable and passionate about their work, and they made it clear that they cared about finding the right fit for the team. I especially appreciated the focus on cultural fit. The conversations felt natural.
The feedback I received was constructive and helpful. It was clear that the company invests in its candidates and wants to provide a positive experience.
I did not get the role but glad I applied.

I applied online. I interviewed at Niantic (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
At the end of the interview, they told me they wanted to be honest and already had two internal candidates applying for the role. Essentially telling me my chances to get the position were low... and said they just wanted to interview people "to give back to the community" and "allow them to get to know the company"
Don't have high expectations. The job posting is fake. I was interviewing for a software enginer role. Did well but they filled the position with an internal candidate. This job was never open for us, it was to give an intern a promotion. They had to post online for HR/legal reasons to show they tried to hire an external candidate. I spent several hours preparing for the interviews & taking the interview in total. Good job on wasting our time.
