I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Okta (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
I applied online through company website. Process consisted of two rounds. First round was 30 minute phone call, where my resume and behavior was discussed. Second round was 45 minutes video call. I was given a leetcode/ hackerrank medium level problem to solve and my resume was discussed. No questions regarding testing were asked. They want to check your coding skills.
Phone conversation with recruiter went well. Then technical phone screen is been scheduled with a QA engineer. She asked me 2 coding questions regarding String Manipulation and Selenium testing, The interview went well but I got a positive reply after 5 days when I sent follow up email asking for status. I gave timings for the Onsite interview but after couple of working days recruiter emailed that they are not moving forward with my candidacy. I spend my weekend preparing for the onsite interview which got cancelled. I'm OK with not moving forward but I find recruiter and manager have poor decision making and little unprofessional approach.
