Interview
I submitted a cover letter and resume. The next day, I received an invite to participate in an editorial test in which I had to read a manuscript in 72 hours and provide an analysis of its strengths and weaknesses along with jacket copy, a potential title for the book, and a decision of whether or not I would recommend it for acquisition. After this editorial test, I met with the hiring manager who was lovely and we talked about books and book covers, where I get my book news, etc. I wasn't offered the job at the end of it all, but it was a positive experience I was told I came close

Interview
There were two stages, each with two members of the finance department. Everyone who interviewed me was very warm and friendly. The interviews lasted about an hour. The process was smooth and comfortable.

There were many steps in the process, including allowing the company to contact five of my professional references. Meanwhile, the company provided minimal feedback when they ultimately rejected my application after several rounds of interviews.
