I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at PlayQ (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
They truly what to know you as a person. They're interested in not only your talents but your passions too. The hiring manager asked a lot of questions, but they were questions that were relevant to the job.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PlayQ in Oct 2021
Interview
Interview process took almost 3 months; I had to wait 3 weeks between my most recent interview and being sent an email telling me they decided to move on with another candidate. Had 5 interviews, plus a skills assessment that did not provide compensation (I don't know what is standard practice, but other companies have provided compensation in my experience.)
Frustrated because my time was not respected during this process. They also never offered a number for the salary, when other places have within the initial screening at least given me a range.
The process was drawn out and nebulous; it was never made clear how many more interviews were left.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PlayQ (Santa Monica, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
I applied online during January 2019 and the process took about 4 weeks from start to finish .
The interview experience with PlayQ was extremely positive. I submitted my application online and was contacted by the Recruiting Manager within a day or two to set up a phone screen. The phone screen with the hiring manager lasted about 30 minutes.
I was given a skills assessment about a week after the phone screen. The assessment had a few open-ended questions/tasks that allowed for freedom in how detailed the answers could be.
After I completed the skills assessment, I was notified promptly that I would be moving forward in the process. The Recruiting Manager was very helpful in arranging an interview date and time that worked for everyone (I was coming from out of town).
The on-site interview consisted of (1) a brief tour of the office, (2) a one-on-one with the hiring manager, (3) a panel with two team members that my prospective position would be working with regularly, (4) a panel with the two co-founders, and (5) a wrap-up discussion with the Recruiting Manager. The on-site process took about 3-3.5 hours total and was a smooth process.
Talking with all interviewers, it was evident that the Company really cared about the people they were hiring and put a lot of effort into making sure there was a fit from both sides.
I received an offer within 2 days of the on-site interview.
