The hiring process at PlayStation takes an average of 60 days when considering 1 user submitted interviews across all job titles. Candidates applying for Gerente had the quickest hiring process (on average 60 days), whereas Gerente roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 60 days).
I was ghosted after several interviews and tens of hours of my life spent in interviews and take home tasks. I had to write a full presentation on usability issues for one game, presented it to the hiring manager and a senior person, and never heard back. This was after a first take home task that was also quite complex and long to fill in.
The whole process also took almost 2 months from start to finish, only to be ghosted
Zero respect for the candidates' time
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
What are your three all-time favourite games, and why – in no more than 100 words per game?
Gauntlet of 6+ interviews. Multiple tech screenings and system designs. Poorly coordinated. Recruiter uninterested and unresponsive in general, didn't follow up on my questions and got ghosted at the end. One of the interviewers had poor communication skills and it was the most painful interview I had ever had in my career.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at PlayStation (Londres, Inglaterra) in Apr 2025
Interview
Recruiter screen, interview with a Senior Brand Manager, interview with the Hiring manager and another member of the marketing team. The Recruiter was really nice – he was clear about every step of the process, and generally emulated the culture at Playstation. This also was the same for the hiring manager and everyone I interviewed with . Even though I wasn't selected, I received feedback about my application and the Recruiter even offered to provide telephone or email feedback follow up. Overall, I had a great experience and wish the team all the best.
