Interview
I applied for the job online. I was contacted quickly by a recruiter explaining they want to set up a phone interview with a member of their QA team. I was told to play the mobile game I would be working on as I would be asked questions about this in my phone interview.
The person conducting my phone interview gave me the impression he was reading down a list of questions with little or no reaction to my answers. A good phone interview should be a responsive conversation.
I was later sent a generic rejection email with not constructive feedback. I have requested personal feedback with no response so far.

Interview
I was excited to have a phone interview. When I called at the appropriate time, I was first asked to do a programming challenge followed by me asking them various questions in relation to anything about teamwork and game development such as working environment and team system to making and iterating games. When I was done asking them questions, I was happy to let them know to contact me if anything happens. Soon enough, they did reply to inform me that they cannot afford more candidates due to their small team size. I can understand the reason behind this, but that interview did teach me to remain confident and be better prepared for future interviews.

Question 1
The only question they asked me is to do a programming challenge in any language, and I chose C++ that resulted in making a strstr() function from scratch in 45 minutes.

Interview
Written technical test that took 1-2 hours to complete. Follow up with phone interview with more technical questions that was very pleasant and we talked about some things I missed on written part.
