I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RBC in Jan 2015
Interview
I applied online through Indeed. Was contacted about 5 days later through email and was asked to take a personality profile assessment. Once that was done, I was contacted the next day by the rbc hr through the phone so we could schedule a telefone interview. 3 days later I had my phone interview. Was asked questions like :
"Why this position?"
"Why choose this over your current job?"
"What are your long and short term goals"?
"Do you speak any other language?"
"Tell me a time when you went above and beyond for a customer"
"Salary expectations"
She also asked a few things about my resume, past jobs and school.
As well as sales experience, if any.
Very easy going and informal.
That same week we scheduled an in person interview at a local branch and had a somewhat formal scenario.
Questions like:
"Tell me about yourself?"
"Why rbc?"
"Why a teller?"
simple and very standard questions.
You are then asked to sell a pen for example, to your interviewers. Once the interview is over they ask you if you have any questions/concerns.
3 days later was hired!
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at RBC
Interview
First i got a personality test. In 3 weeks i received a call for a telephone interview. After the telephone interview i received a call that i am going to a face to face interview. Waited for 5 weeks and i received a call to set my face to face interview. Both interviews are like chat conversations. Hiring manager and the recruiter were very friendly and easy to talk to. The phone interview is based mostly on your experience and scenarios. The face to face interview its mostly to get to know you better and understand better how your experience will fit with the role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No difficult questions. Just the expected questions such as "tell me more about yourself", "how your skills will fit the role" etc. And scenarios
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RBC
Interview
Referred by VP to branch manager, after one week, received an interview invite from Branch Manager to have a face-to-face interview. The interview lasts for one hour. The interview consists of three parts. The first part is normal questions such as 'tell me about yourself', 'why RBC', etc. The second part is role-play, such as being a sales person to sell a pen to the branch manager. The last part is language test.
