I applied online. I interviewed at RBC (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2018
Interview
This interview took about 2.5 hours total and was separated into three 30-minute parts with a 15 minute break in between. Each interviewee had a different order for the interviews.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first part was a technical interview. I had to brainstorm an idea on how to solve a jigsaw puzzle using code. It was very open ended and they suggested using the whiteboard to show your work. Next I had to talk about a project that I worked on in the past and what I did when I ran into issues.
The next part was a group interview. I assume it was supposed to be with groups of 3-5, although for some reason it was only with myself and another interviewee who was on Skype. We were given an article that we had to read, find the problem in it, and pitch a solution to the problem within the 30 minute time frame.
The last part was a general behavioral interview.
